IDA'S_EYEBALL_STORY =================== the boy in my class found a big stick tried to impress me with it but ended up poking out his friend's eye. we were running where we weren't allowed to be. in the forest out back of the school. the eye ball was somewhere in the forest. his friend was very upset. the boy tom said "i'm sorrry..i'm really sorry" but he was still clutching the stick. so i took the stick from him and threw it into the woods. "let's go look for the eye ball" i said and started walking back over the path we took. it had just rained earlier that day before recess so the trees were very heavy. also the ground was soggy under our feet. we kept on walking until we found it lodged in the ground below the big old metal spider from the old playground. i looked the spider in the eye. he was wearing an old man's hat. and smiling. he was covered in green mossy green. i motioned the boys to stay back and i looked at him and said "is it okay mr spider if we take this eyeball from you?" a leaf fell from the trees up above and landed on his face. it stuck there. i took that as a yes and scooped up the eyeball as fast as i could saying "thank you mr spider" and we ran from the forest back to the edge of the field where the other children were playing. we went to the water fountain where i washed off the eyeball in nice cold water. once it was clean i said to the boy "now hold still" and took the eyeball from my pocket. i popped it back into his socket. he said "it was nice to feel a breeze in there anyway" and forgave tom. then he turned to me and hugged me. then he ran away.
